LIVING WATER.
Water is one of the most important natural
resources for sustaining plant and animal life. People use water for a variety
of purposes. besides drinking, bathing, washing, and cooking; water used for
irrigation.
About 60 percent of our body is made up of
water and can live for three to five days without liquid. Water plays many
important roles in the body including detoxification, temperature control,
nutrient transport, and is required for digestion.
What is meant by living water?
Entering the temple would require the ritual of
purification in a special bathtub called a “mikveh.” What made these special
baths was the natural reservoir of water that flowed to each one to form a
small pool of “living water.” Living water was any source of flowing water
directed to the collection site.
How do we get living water?
As Elder Bednar mentioned above, we find living water as we read the scriptures, read conference talks, and go to church or
temple. All of this is spiritually refreshing.
Can water be alive?
Water does not live. We only talk about life or
death when we talk about living things. But water does not reflect any of these
factors. It is made of Oxygen and Hydrogen materials. If there is no water so, there is no
life on earth. Like all the living species. We need to use water in order to
live. We need water for many other tasks e.g., cleaning, cooking, washing, or
watering that is why water is called a life-giving liquid.
